Kindy room excursion to Saint Hilarion aged care.

“Children develop a sense of belonging to groups and communities and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation” Early years learning framework.

As part of further enhancing the Kindy room involvement in the wider community we’ve been lucky enough to establish a relationship with Saint Hilarion aged care for the children to visit and spend time with the residents on a regular basis. Time will be spent getting to know some of the residents by participating in activities together such as art and crafts, singing and storytelling. We also hope that the residents will be able to visit us at the centre.

Our next visit to Saint Hilarion will be on Wednesday 9th August.
